Last June, the Nuits Sonores music festival took possession of the former SLI factory in the 9th arrondissement of Lyon. The site filled in with electronic music. Soon, one will hear the sound of the heavy plant as the starting renewal of this brown field into a new business park.

Greenopolis is a 21,500 m² development. Not only is it a business park in the inner city, but also it serves the city development strategy and as such, it is strongly backed by Greater Lyon. Therefore, Groupe em2c has designed a park that especially meets the corporate demand for different types of buildings, areas, and rents. Simultaneously, Groupe em2c has designed a new neighbourhood with good quality of work life.

Because the site is a Zone Franche Urbaine*, any company that will choose to set up in the park shall gain tax and social security contribution exemptions in exchange of at least one third of the staff coming from socially deprived areas.

The architects have solved the lack of green areas in the neighbourhood and the corporate needs for limited operating expenses with technical, innovative and alternative solutions, as well as green areas of course, with a view to also limiting the footprint of this development on the environment. Groupe em2c has also complied with the efficiency level of the BBC 005** label (Effinergie).

The development is consistent with the demand as units with different sizes are to be rent or for sale, i.e. a variety of solutions to suit any requirements. Every unit features easy livable spaces to show that the company does care about the individual.
