Groupe em2c is developing the first ecopark in the Lyon region

Groupe em2c won the invitation to tender that was launched by Greater Lyon regarding the development of the Ecopôle de Sous-Gournay in Feyzin (69).

This project aims at developing cooperation between on-site companies whose businesses are eco-industrial and related to treatment, recycling and waste management. It meets the local authority's 3-fold objective: Vallée de la Chimie renewal, competitiveness cluster Axelera* enhancement, and sustainable development policy implementation.

As a recognized stakeholder of the Vallée de la Chimie renewal with 6 developments undertaken on this site, Groupe em2c has obviously been selected to team with Greater Lyon and the City Council of Feyzin to work out their ambitious and determined enterprise.

Groupe em2c has been assigned with land planning, construction, and property development. It is therefore responsible for the full management of the project - that stretches over 15 hectares - according to two guidelines: sustainability of the urban composition and respect of the resident's living environment.

Industrial waste (waste from agribusiness and construction business excluded) amounts to 36 millions tons per year i.e. 5.5% of the total waste production in France that is 650 millions tons. The shortage of final waste treatment facilities in France and dismissal that arises from such schemes make waste reclaiming businesses to be actively fostered a necessity.

As a recognized Acteur de la Cité, Groupe em2c has obviously been selected on the grounds of its know-how, its background, and its team of experts: architects/town planners, landscapers, engineers in sustainable development and the HQE standard, engineers in soil contamination.

With this new reference in its track record, Groupe em2c demonstrates once again its ability to support economic, technological, urban, and environmental stakes-driven policies of local authorities and companies.
